The available video formats will depend on your computer when using Windows Mixed Reality. A newer video card is recommended for video resolutions up to 2300p.

Downloading Videos

It’s not currently possible to download any videos directly to your headset. It’s best to use a computer to download the video files that you want to play. Please see the directions below:

• Open the browser of your choice on your PC.
• Navigate to the VR web site that you want to use.
• Log into your account with your username and password.
• Find the video that you wish to play.
• Choose either the Oculus or Vive menus when using WMR.
• Choose the resolution that best suits your PC. If play back is stuttering, go back and choose a lower resolution.
• Click on the download link and play your video once it’s finished.
  Enjoy.

Playing with MoonPlayer

Downloaded videos must be played through the MoonPlayer when using WMR. Simply follow the steps below:

• Download the video you wish to see using the instructions above.
• Import the file into the MoonPlayer library.
• Power on your headset and put it on.
• Open the Virtual Reality Portal.
• Open MoonPlayer
• You should now be able to see your video in the local tab.
• Select your video to play it.
• You may be required to change your VR settings to 180˚and side by side.
• Dismiss the controls by simply clicking away from them through your headset.
• Enjoy

Playing with Stream VR

• Download the video you wish to see using the instructions above.
• Open the WMR portal.
• Launch the Steam VR app.
• Select Whirligig or the provided web player.
• Fully enjoy your virtual reality video with Windows Mixed Reality.
