Oculus Go / Quest
The Oculus Go and Oculus Quest are both capable of supporting 1920p video playback. The Oculus Quest is also capable of 2300p playback, although some framerate drops may occur.
The following guide will work for both the Oculus Quest and Oculus Go. Both headsets are capable of streaming and downloading the videos of your choice.
Streaming:
- Power on and put on your headset.
- Open the Oculus browser app.
- Navigate your browser to SwallwBay.com.
- Log into the site with your username and password.
- Choose the video that you want to play.
- Click the play button and streaming will begin immediately.
Please note that it’s recommended to use the provided web player. Third party browsers cannot be guaranteed to work.
Downloading:
- Choose a video on SwallowBay.com and download it to your computer.
- Transfer the file from your device to your Quest or GO headset.
- Put your VR headset on.
- Look down and select the gallery app from the menu.
- Click on the internal storage icon.
- Select the video from the folder you transferred your file to.
Please note that it may be necessary to change the settings from 3D to side by side the first time you play a video on your device.
Transfer files from a PC:
- Connect your Quest headset to your PC with the provided micro USB cable.
- Put your headset on.
- Give your PC permission to access your headset and data.
- Remove your headset.
- Once connected to your PC, your file should play automatically. If not, select “open device to view files.”
- It may be necessary to browse to your Oculus storage through your computer’s file explorer. Simply find the folder labeled “VR Headset” or “Oculus.”
- Click on the device and find your shared media folder.
- Drag and drop your video file into the movies folder.
Transfer files from a Mac
- Download the file transfer tool and install it on your Mac.
- Open the tool you just installed.
- Connect your headset with the provided micro USB cable.
- Put on your headset.
- Give your Mac permission to access your headset.
- The VR Headset folder should open automatically.
- Open the folder labeled “Movies.”
- Drag and drop your files into the folder.
